How often should you refill your eyelash extensions?

The average person has 90–150 natural lashes per eye and naturally sheds up to 5 lashes per day. Assuming an average loss of 2 per day:

  • 1 week = 14 lashes shed.
  • 2 weeks = 28 lashes shed
  • 3 weeks = 42 lashes shed

Since extensions are attached to natural lashes, they shed too—this is completely normal! To maintain a full and beautiful look, refills are recommended every 2–3 weeks.

This is the most popular style to achieve the most natural-looking eyelash extensions.

Extensions follow the natural lash growth pattern. We typically aim for extensions 1–2 mm longer than the natural lashes. This style mimics your lash line, providing a subtle enhancement with a light and airy look.

The natural sweep uses shorter inner corners and adds the same length throughout the rest of the lash line. This styling will help open and elongate the eye.

We love using this style for clients that have down-turned eyes because it helps create a more lifted look.

Designed to elongate the eyes by placing shorter extensions in the inner corners and gradually increasing length towards the outer corners.

This style enhances almond and upturned eye shapes while creating a lifted, winged effect. Ideal for those who want a sultry, elongated appearance.

Focuses on creating a rounded, wide-eyed effect by placing the longest extensions in the center of the lash line, with shorter lengths in the inner and outer corners.

Hybrid lashes are a mix of both worlds which is often a nice transition for those who want more fluff without going all-in with volume. Lastly, mega volume adds fans ofultra-light extensions to each natural lash for an amazing “wow factor”.

They typically last about 4 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle and how well you care for them. Regular maintenance appointments every 2 to 3 weeks will help keep them looking full and beautiful.

No. They are completely safe and will not impact the health of your natural lashes when applied properly by a professional. At Divine Lashes, we prioritize the health and safety of your natural lashes. This is our #1 priority and value. We use quality materials and adhere to the best application techniques. Aftercare also plays a very important part both in maintenance and longevity.

We only offer refills for our existing clients due to variations in technique and materials at other salons. In the past, refills from other studios often required extensive correction. We would take most of the time to correct the existing work and not be able to fill in as much and leaving the clients unsatisfied.

We ask clients with existing lashes to book a new set and a removal. After inspecting the existing work, we may be able to do a refill, but this depends on the condition of the lashes.

They are very safe when applied by a trained professional. While there are minimal risks, such as temporary irritation or allergic reactions to the adhesive, these are very rare.

At Divine Lashes, we use a novelty in the industry for sensitive clients – a specially formulated adhesive that cures almost instantly with LED light.

A client who has little to no eyelashes may not be a good candidate for extensions. We may recommend those clients start with a lash serum to strengthen their existing eyelashes before applying extensions.

The application process typically takes 1-2 hours for a full set of lash extensions. Refills take 1h on average.

Yes absolutely. When using makeup, opt for oil-free, gentle products to avoid damaging the lash adhesive. Avoid waterproof mascara, as it can be challenging to remove and may weaken the extensions. Be gentle when applying and removing makeup, and use a non-oil-based makeup remover.

Ensure your lashes are clean and free of makeup. Avoid waterproof mascara for at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.
