Why Try a Lash Serum
I am a beauty professional who is always looking for products to test for my clients. I have always had really light, short, and sparse lashes. They got even worse when I started wearing lash clusters daily for many years. Although I will still likely wear lashes because I like the dramatic look, I have always wanted to try a serum to see if I could even heal my natural lashes as much as possible.
So… this is what my lashes looked like before this 30-day challenge.

My hope is that the short stubby lashes fill in more and I regrow the ones that have fallen out quickly. This will also make it easier for me to apply lash extensions when I decide to do so. I would like to not have to always wear them and still have nice lashes that I can just throw some mascara on as well.
My 30-Day Experience With RevitaLash Serum
Week 1: The Initial Encounter
The packaging is a little flimsy but the product itself is solid. The applicator is a thin paintbrush you just swipe right above the lash line once a day. It is easy to apply. The directions are clear and easy to follow.

Here’s a quick video I made showing how easy it is to apply!
The product does burn if you get it in your eyes. So far I haven’t noticed much of a difference in my lashes, but I did not expect a whole lot in the first week. Disclaimer, I have a faded permanent eyeliner tattoo.
Week 2: Halfway Hustle

I am starting to notice a little growth at the 2-week mark. So far everything is going well. I have very sensitive eyes and skin and haven’t had an issue unless it gets in my eyes when I rub them too soon after.
In the two-week photo, you can notice a little bit more thickness and the lashes starting to fill in. I am excited to see what the next two weeks show!
Week 3: The Plot Thickens

Moving into week 3 I am noticing a little more fullness. Also noticing mascara is going on and looking a little better than on the short stubby lashes. I still did not have any side effects. I am very sensitive to things, especially my eyes, and this didn’t bother them.
Week 4: The Grande Finale

In the last week, I noticed more fullness through most of the lashes, except those short, stubborn outer corners I have due to wearing false lashes for many years.
I was hoping those would fill in a little more, but they are much shorter than the rest so I didn’t expect too much. Overall, it was slower progress, but if you continue to use it, I think it would make a big difference!
When I compare my before & after images side-by-side I can notice the difference. Truth be told, it’s not crazy, but it’s there. And I only applied it for 1 month. Generally, the manufacturers recommend a longer period before assessing the results.

Ingredients
Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Biotin, Cellulose Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Disodium Phosphate, Phosphoric Acid, Dechloro Dihydroxy Difluoro Ethylcloprostenolamide, Butylene Glycol, Calendula Officinalis Extract, Panax Ginseng Extract, Serenoa Serrulata Extract, Camellia Sinensis Extract, Swertia Japonica Extract, Triticum Vulgare Germ Protein, Pentylene Glycol, Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Octapeptide-2.
I know it’s a mouthful, but Dechloro Dihydroxy Difluoro Ethylcloprostenolamide is the ingredient you should pay the most attention to in this formulation.
This active ingredient is what’s known as a prostaglandin analog, which mimics the hormones that your own body produces to help promote lash growth. Having said that, it doesn’t come without some concerns.
If you want to know more about prostaglandins, make sure to read this article to find out their side effects and alternative lash serums without prostaglandins.
Some other key ingredients:
- Biotin: Also known as Vitamin B7, Biotin improves eyelash health, strength and structure. It will help the hair become more resilient and less prone to falling out.
- Panax Ginseng Extract: This herbal extract is so good. It’s renowned for its rejuvenating properties. In a lash serum, it will stimulate your hair follicles to hopefully get those thicker and longer lashes.
- Camellia Sinensis Extract: This extract comes from green tea leaves and is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Only good stuff for your lashes.
Final Thoughts
In the end, I was quite pleased with the results I got with the RevitaLash growth serum. My eyelashes looked longer even if I tried it for only 30 days.
Despite the accidental eye-burning sessions and the minor hit to my wallet, I’ve emerged on the other side with fabulous lashes that could give any mascara commercial a run for its money.
So, if you’re thinking about joining the Lash League, I think you should give RevitaLash a try. If you’re on the fence and not sure if this is the right eyelash serum for you, check out our lash serum ranking here. I know I will certainly continue using it just to see how far I can take my lashes!
